Big Chill

Get those skates sharpened! Whether your student is gliding with confidence or mastering the art of staying upright, the Big Chill is always a highlight.

For students travelling with their families: HPAS staff will meet families at the arena. Families driving their own children are asked to be back at the school by 12:30pm.

For students travelling with the school: These students will take the TTC (not school bus) with HPAS staff.
Departure: We will be leaving the school at 9am sharp to catch the TTC bus from the corner of Dundas and Clendenan.
Return: TTC bus leaves from the corner of Dundas and Howland.

Relevant forms:
– (Mandatory) The excursion form has already been sent out and can be found here.
– (Mandatory) Fill out this form by January 16 to confirm how your student will travel to Lambton Arena.
– (Mandatory) Fill out this form to confirm whether you need to borrow skates / helmet for your child(ren) or adults.
– (Optional) Please fill out this volunteer form if you’re able to help with setup, cleanup, and other day-of activities.

Take note:
🪖 Helmets are required for all skaters. Students who choose not to skate will enjoy fun off-ice art activities led by senior students with help from parent volunteers.

⛸️ Borrowing skates? Please fill out this equipment form. Fittings will be available at school on January 22 and 23.

🍎 Snacks and some beverages will be provided (not lunch). Students travelling by TTC should leave lunches at school.
