DESCRIPTION:Doors open at 5:15. It’s Movie Night at HPAS! We’ll be showing Migration\, a 1-hour-22-minute animated film about a cautious father duck who leads his family on their first adventure beyond the pond. It’s a story full of heart\, humour\, and helpful friends.\nEnjoy free popcorn in a cozy atmosphere where kids (along with siblings and friends) are welcome to come in their pajamas. Families are encouraged to bring sleeping bags\, blankets\, pillows\, or a towel/picnic blanket to get comfortable. A quiet activity table will be available for children who may not watch the whole movie.\nTickets\, pizza\, and veggie snack packs will be available for pre-order through School Cash Online\, and additional concessions will be available the night of the event. DESCRIPTION:Get those skates sharpened! Whether your student is gliding with confidence or mastering the art of staying upright\, the Big Chill is always a highlight. \nFor students travelling with their families: HPAS staff will meet families at the arena. Families driving their own children are asked to be back at the school by 12:30pm. \nFor students travelling with the school: These students will take the TTC (not school bus) with HPAS staff.\nDeparture: We will be leaving the school at 9am sharp to catch the TTC bus from the corner of Dundas and Clendenan.\nReturn: TTC bus leaves from the corner of Dundas and Howland. \nRelevant forms:\n– (Mandatory) The excursion form has already been sent out and can be found here.\n– (Mandatory) Fill out this form by January 16 to confirm how your student will travel to Lambton Arena.\n– (Mandatory) Fill out this form to confirm whether you need to borrow skates / helmet for your child(ren) or adults.\n– (Optional) Please fill out this volunteer form if you’re able to help with setup\, cleanup\, and other day-of activities. \nTake note:\n🪖 Helmets are required for all skaters. Students who choose not to skate will enjoy fun off-ice art activities led by senior students with help from parent volunteers. \n⛸️ Borrowing skates? Please fill out this equipment form. Fittings will be available at school on January 22 and 23. \n🍎 Snacks and some beverages will be provided (not lunch). Students travelling by TTC should leave lunches at school. \n🙋‍♀️ We’re also looking for volunteers to help with setup\, cleanup\, coffee & hot chocolate pickup\, the craft table\, and skate support.
